Shinetech Goes for Gold at the Fall Harvest Race
This past Sunday was the 9th annual Fall Harvest Race, hosted by the Cornwall Lions Club. The race gathers runners and walkers from around the New York area and donates all proceeds to local charities, including Guiding Eyes for the Blind and the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. Shinetech was a proud sponsor once again this year, and members of our New York team also participated in this great event.
We met early on Sunday morning for registration and breakfast provided by the organizers. After enjoying bagels and getting in some stretching, we lined up to begin the race. The course goes through the beautiful Cornwall Village with wonderful views of the Hudson river. Since we were doing this for charity, not the final lap time, we made sure to stop and take some photos of the surroundings. On top of the great views, I was the 3rd runner up in my age group and even received an award!
Shinetech always encourages team members to support, volunteer, and participate in local community events, such as the Fall Harvest Race, that give back to the community in meaningful ways. It was a great day and we are very excited continue working with this amazing organization.
